The al-Rajabi family from the Jebal Johar neighborhood of Hebron, in the H2 section, had the inside of their home completely destroyed by the Israeli military.
According witnesses, the Israeli soldiers left the roof top at around 7 p.m. and fired five tear gas grenades into the home, setting the interior into flames. The result was a total loss of all personal items in the house. Israel has had a long history of displacing Palestinians from their homes as means of drive Palestinians of their lands. This is just but one example of the renewed policy.
Seven Palestinians live in the home. Five children, four boys and girl are now left homeless as result of the Israeli military aggression.
The attack on the al-Rajabi family is not an isolated incident but rather represents two tactics in Israel’s 67 year prolonged illegal military occupation of Hebron: Using violence and intimidation to force a Palestinian exodus, a strategy which has evolved in nuances since the original Plan Dalet and using collective punishment as a means to suppress Palestinians’ right to resist.
